Jirong Zhang: Lower Pain During Meditation

Friday, January 16th, 2009

Lower pain during meditation is normal for beginners. It’s no exception to people who practice Jirong Zhang’s meditation or any other types of meditation.

Most of the people would have expected some pain when they first start meditation in a cross-leg or semi-cross leg position. They are more interested to how to deal with it.

Let’s look at the nature of pain:

1. Pain is impement as anything else.

2. Pain is a response of our cells to a non-aquined conditions.

3. Pain is related to blood circuation in the physical level.

4. Pain is a feeling.

5. Pain is attached to a person or a living thing, e.g. Jirong Zhang is feeling the pain or Mandy Smith is feeling the pain.

6. Pain comes & goes.

Understanding the nature of pain, the best way of dealing the lower pain during meditation is to”observe” it.

Look inside your pain with no feelings - no adverse feeling, no attached feeling… eventually the lower pain will go way.

Loss of concentration? Mindfulness meditation may help.

Author: Jirong Zhang/Category: meditation

It has always been my greatest passion in life to search for better methods to improve human life. Meditation is one of the greatest techniques I use regularly to help myself, my family and my clients to overcome the pain, concerns, unfulfilled feelings & other negative aspects in life. More importantly, I use Meditation to help to keep myself focusing and maintaining a high level of concentration.

Loss of concentration has becoming a concern for many people living with modern life style. Loss of concentration or lack of concentration could be a sign or a warning signal for some of the conditions that’s going to affect of health and life in an unpleasant way: Depression, Pre-Matured Aging, Menopause, CFS etc.

If loss of concentration is a concern for you. Try meditation.

Out of the many different kinds of meditations I highly recommend:

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness meditation, which asks us to focus on our breath to facilitate awareness of the present moment, gives us great power of healing. Many studies showed Mindfulness Meditation is effective in many ways to help our health and wellness. A 2003 report in the Journal of Psychosomatic Medicine concluded: “A short program in mindfulness meditation produces demonstrable effects on brain and immune function.” In Taiwan, where more people practicing Mindfulness Meditation to combat the battles of high pressure life, also comes out studies that have a more committed response to the benefits of meditation. In 2002 the journal Chang Gung Medicine reported that “training in MM may be a medically superior and cost-effective alternative to pain medication for the control of headaches with no underlying organic causes in highly motivated patients.

Just practice as short as 15 minutes of Mindfulness Meditation a day, the change will follow.

When I experience some challenges in life, I always ask myself: “Hi, Jirong Zhang, what can you do to turn this situation into an all good one ?” 90% of the time, my answer is: go and do Mindfulness Meditation…..it is that simple and easy!
